Idaho Child Support

Child support payments are required to assure children are financially provided for after a divorce. Idaho believes that both parents are financially responsible for the child, regardless of custody arrangements. Child support is calculated based on the Idaho Child Support Guidelines.

Child support is calculated using the respective income of both parents, the custody and visitation schedule, the child tax credits, and the health insurance premiums for the children. After child support is awarded, modifications may be made over time to fit the financial situations of either party.

Our attorneys at Hardee, Piñol & Kracke, PLLC will assess both parties’ financial situations and effectively utilize the discovery process and the Idaho Child Support Guidelines to make sure child support is calculated correctly so that your children are appropriately provided for.
